Practice Philosophy
Dr. Sams was motivated to pursue a career in women's health by the opportunity to provide care across generations for his patients. His favorite part of his profession is being able to contribute to all aspects of a woman's care throughout her life—from early adulthood to motherhood, menopause, and beyond. He is well-versed in a range of advanced procedures, including:
- In-office hysteroscopy
- Robotic and laparoscopic surgery
- vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery)
- Pelvic prolapse and incontinence surgery
Personal Life
A strong advocate for women's health, Dr. Sams encourages his patients to take time for self-care. For him, this includes spending time with his wife, with whom he has four children—all proud students of or graduates from Ole Miss. As an outdoorsman, he also finds relaxation in fishing and hunting.
